these are the letters i did out of rage but as they turned out more beautiful then expected,
i've decided to show them and tell the story.
it was supposed to be part of a collaborative typeface assembled by w type foundry, part of the type thursday barcelona initiative. the idea is that who signed up for it was designed to create three letters of some modules. i was in charge of /v,  /g, and /a, the last two with diacritics. the thing is, i messed up the first time (i've got confused with the instructions) and they told me that my letters were "wrong". so i did them again. couple days later, i received the "full" otf file, with "all" the contributions. but none of my letters were there. i asked the foundry what happened and they simply said:

"Well being a collaborative process depending on so many people we had to make some modifications to your letters, since your letters were wrong the first time and we replaced them with other participants (we didn't know if you were sending them again).
Eventually we had to modify your letters to fill out for others who didn't send theirs, so your V is now a Y. Your Á now is À.
And the G we will add for the release version.
Hope you understand!"

along with this there was no apology. nope. nothing.
a lack of care that is typical of those who are in a position of power. they didn’t even asked my consent.
but hey, don’t feel like understanding it because i won’t stay under a situation like this.

anger is, after all, an energy.
